Ain't no thing like me, except me. I am the biggest half behind this website and love to write about my deep love for fighting games, (J)RPG's and Destiny. Really do not like Call of Duty and absolutely love pizza.
It’s been a while since we saw an Playstation 4 Exclusive title and The Order: 1886 sets the standard for 2015 releases. It’s one of the biggest releases for Sony this year and we couldn’t wait to get our hands on The Order: 1886. Prepare for a London like you haven’t seen before, in a story about treason and one mans journey to set things right, with a whole lot of quick time events.
It is the dawn of a new age – an age of scientific marvels. Underneath the dense London fog, in the shadows of the Industrial Revolution, experience a unique vision of Victorian London where Man uses advanced technology to battle enemies both old and new that threaten to throw the city – and the world – into chaos. Watching over the city are humanity’s only protectors, an elite band of Knights known as The Order. Join a centuries-old war against a powerful threat that will determine the course of history forever.
The Order: 1886 is Created and developed by Ready At Dawn Studios, developers of Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. This is their first major console release and while the PSP titles were great, they’re now playing in the big leagues.
You’ll play as Sir Galahad, an expert tracker and hunter whose instincts and skills, developed over the years fighting Half-breeds. Galahad keeps his head cool while you’ll rid yourself of the dangers before you. Other Characters consist of: Sebastian Malory also known as “Sir Percival” one of the oldest and most respected members of The Order , Isabeau D’Argyll also known as “Lady Igraine” the youngest member of The Order and apprentice to Galahad, last but not least , Marquis de Lafayette a seasoned war veteran. Together They’ll protect us from the Half-breeds and Rebels.
The Order: 1886 takes place in a recreated Victorian-Era London, which features familiar places such as the Palace of Westminster, Mayfair, Whitechapel, the Crystal Palace, Big ben and the London tube. Although in a different style than we are used to. The environment looks stunning and is one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever seen in a game before. This alternate vision of London features new advances in technology due to an accelerated industrial revolution and the century old war between mankind and Half-breeds. Giant airships roam the sky and you even set foot on one of these huge airships, both on top of it and from inside.
Since you’ll have to battle against Half-breeds and rebels you’ll need quite an amount of gun power to destroy those nasty looking Half-breeds and rebels. The Order doesn’t disappoint, The Order delivers, well actually Nikola Tesla delivers. The weapons our brave members of The Order use are designed and manufactured by Nikola Tesla, you can get your hands on the Arc Gun , an powerful gun with an experimental Tesla coil that shoots a focused stream of electricity ,The Thermite Rifle an LMG that burns through cover and can fire a magnesium shot that is highly flammable, the magazine can act as an explosive if placed and ignited. These are just a small glimpse of the weapons at your disposal. The weapons feel and look great, some weapons are fun and others are needed for business.
The Order: 1886 tels a tale about a mans journey to set things right as he fights against old enemies and recently discovered ones. You’ll encounter manny enemies both human and monster alike. Uncover a hidden secret and be prepared to suffer the consequences, fight against friends and be stripped from knighthood. The Order: 1886 has an great story and although sometimes a bit cliché, still you’ll want to complete it in one go.
You can find quite the bit of hidden objects for you to discover being, photos, newspapers, audio logs and more, Even a little big friend can be found.
The Order:1886 is one of the most beautiful games out there albeit a bit short, it still has an amazing story, one worth experiencing.
