One of my favorite Series ever is getting a Legacy Collection, which is awesome, this will give me the opportunity to play the first six original Mega Man games on my latest Console. At the same time the brilliant mind behind Mega Man, Keiji Inafune, is working on Might No.9, can this get even better?

Well….. Earlier today we posted the reveal of “Red Ash” So things might even get better than it already is.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. Featuring faithful reproductions of the series’ origins with the original six Mega Man games, the Legacy Collection will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made Mega Man such a popular and iconic character

What did make Mega Man so popular and Iconic? For me a huge part of the Mega Man legend is the gameplay, I remember it being so hard and frustrating, yet still precise and never unjustified. The character itself appealed to me because it was a basic and simple design, keep in mind at the time I was just 5 or 6 years old, I didn’t care about graphics and design in games, I just wanted to play all day. Mega Man gave me years and years of gameplay, basically due to the fact that I just couldn’t complete the game, man it was hard. That great feeling when so many years later you finally beat the game because you’re not a child anymore, you respect the game, you learn from the game, finally mastering it. It still is one of the greatest achievements in games for me.

Will Capcom recreate this feeling? I actually don’t think so, I will have a blast playing through all Six Mega Man games, and sure I will have a difficult time completing them all. I hope I can have a similar experience with the collection, we will find out once the Mega Man Collection hits digital stores.

Keiji Inafune is also the mastermind behind Mighty No.9 an all new Ip with an unmissable resemblance to Mega Man, in which you the player take controle of a robot named Beck, who is able to run, jump and shoot projectiles at enemies he encounters. The project went live on Kickstarter and untill this date has gain 3,845,170 in funds. It’s one of the more successful Kickstart projects ever.

Will Keiji Inafune achieve greatness compared to Mega Man with Mightie No.9, which basically is this generations Mega Man? The Gameplay and features are all there, the designs look and taste familiar, I’m in. I certainly hope Inafune creates this generations Mega Man, Mighty No.9 is one of my most anticipated games for this year and I hope I will get my hands on it very soon.
