sfvmikahead2The Street Fighter V beta is live and sooner than expected, we went in and had some fun with Rainbow Mika and her BFF/Tag Partner Yamato Nadeshiko.

I must say playing with Rainbow Mika and her Tag Partner Yamato Nadeshiko was crazy, I had so much fun with her, she has nice moves and trying to figure out what links to what was an amazing pastime. One of my favorite moves is her Booty Smash, official name Shooting Peach, using this in a combo was my goal and after 5/6 minutes I came up with a nice combo using her V-Trigger and BFF Nadeshiko. You can see some of the moves in the video below:

Unfortunately, after uploading my video and spending time figuring out her moves and strings I went on youtube to see what other players could do and well now I’m ashamed, I still had fun though. Rainbow Mika has 2 things going for her 1) her V-Skill once charged can deal massive damage, like crazy damage. 2) Mika’s V-Trigger can be used in many ways, extending her combo’s and creating some new once like in the video above. Here’s how they both work:

V-Skill: Mic Performance

R. Mika pulls out her trusty microphone and gives a heart-pumping monologue to the crowd. The longer the buttons are held down, the more powerful her normal and special throws become! During her monologue state, she is able to absorb one hit from the opponent and can also cancel the speech at any time by letting go of the buttons, causing her to fling the mic at the opponent.

video credits go to Burnout Fighter

V-Trigger: Nadeshiko (3 Variations)

Now this is wrestling! Depending on the direction held during the V-Trigger activation, R. Mika’s faithful tag-team partner will deliver a surprising, high flying attack at the opponent from different angles: neutral (body splash from above), hold back (dropkick from the front), hold forward (dropkick from behind). The different variations keep opponents guessing and afraid to hit buttons, perfectly setting up R. Mika’s damaging command throws.

So after some searching on youtube I found these fine specimens:

video credits go to Burnout Fighter

video credits go to Spabrog

I’m quite certain that Fighters from all over the world will upload a massive amount of videos in the upcoming days, we will be no exception and plan on playing/streaming and sharing footage of the beta until it goes offline.
