Mortal Kombat X ESL Season 3The third season of Mortal Kombat X’s ESL MKX Pro League will start April 3th on Playstation 4! You heard that right, Playstation 4.

Following the conclusion of the ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Season 2 Finals last January, with SonicFox taking the belt for the second year running – who’s going to take it from him? -, ESL announced that the tournament will be returning for Season 3 along with some new changes

The ESL MKX Pro League will run across the CIS, European, North American, and for the first time, Latin American regions. The season matches will culminate in the greatest 16 players from across the world traveling to the ESL studios in Burbank, California to compete in the Global Season 3 Finals for US$200,000 – twice the amount awarded in Season 2.

Season 3 introduces more ways to compete and more ways to win, as well as a total season prize pool of US$500,000 – yes that’s a lot of money. Season 3 introduces a completely new ESL Mortal Kombat X Challenger Cup.

The ESL Mortal Kombat X Challenger Cup is open to everyone, excluding each week’s  top eight Pro League players, and kicks off Saturday, April 2,offering an all new way for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers to battle online for cash and prizes. The Challenger Cup will have open tournaments across North America, Europe, CIS, and Latin America and will be held weekly through the end of June, with monthly finals to be streamed live.
