Ain't no thing like me, except me. I am 50% of the awesome people behind this website. I enjoy writing about my deep love for (J)RPG's, fighting games, and Destiny. Really do not like Call of Duty and Battle Royale games. Absolutely love Sushi and Burgers.
Having trouble destroying Dark Souls III’s Deacons of the Deep? Just want more glorious Dark Souls III footage to admire? We’ve got you, and the fight, covered.
I absolutely love playing From Software‘s Dark Souls and Dark Souls III is no exception. The game looks and feels beautiful. It’s challenging at times and Boss battles are some of the most challenging parts of the game. They are also the most rewarding aspect of the game. I’m still enjoying my time with Dark Souls III and I discover new loot and bosses every time I fire up the game.
I’m not completely done with my first play trough, but I love to share my battles and struggles. When I had some trouble defeating Vordt of the Boreal Valley I summoned a random phantom called, “Little Jay” – thanks Little Jay – and together we were able to defeat him. When I encountered my fifth Dark Souls boss, Deacons of the Deep I didn’t hesitate, I summoned another random phantom instantly. The road to the Deacons was hard and a little extra help was all I needed. Together we were able to deafet the Deacons of the Deep the first time I encountered them. Below you’ll find some tactics and a video of the Boss battle.
The first stage of this battle became easier once I understood what was going on. I was just fighting all of them and it didn’t look like the health bar was dropping. There are a many enemies in this fight, but only one that’s glowing red. Needless to say that, that’s the one that needs to go down. You can kill the other enemies, but the d-bags will return. Once the glowing one is defeated the glow will transport to another enemy and it’s your job to defeat him. Repeating this will get you far into the fight.
Once you get the “boss” to half health, a new enemy is summoned. This is the Archdeacon, and he’ll be guarded by a two tougher Deacons of the Deep, the fat guys in blue. Once again the target glows red, but it doesn’t swap host. The Archdeacon is the final enemy. Deal massive damage on him as fast and hard as you can before swiftly dodging away. Repeatign this a few times will destroy him and end the battle.
Good luck defeating the Deacons of the Deep my fellow Warriors of Sunlight. And earn yourselves a nice little Trophy/Achievement. Do you have a better tactic? Having trouble beating the Crystal Sage? share your thoughts in the comments below.
