Ain't no thing like me, except me. I am 50% of the awesome people behind this website. I enjoy writing about my deep love for (J)RPG's, fighting games, and Destiny. Really do not like Call of Duty and Battle Royale games. Absolutely love Sushi and Burgers.
Naughty Dog’s much-loved mode returns – but with a few twists on the game’s well-known formula.
Plunder is a Capture the Flag-type game mode but with an Uncharted twist — you can throw the idol (AKA flag)! Great teamwork is key to winning the match as you’re tasked with finding the idol on the map and bringing it to your home treasure chest. Plunder will be playable on the three maps you’ve seen in the Uncharted 4 beta — Island, Madagascar City, and Rooftops.
For those familiar with the classic Plunder game type, a few updates were made. In previous Uncharted games, people carrying the idol could not traverse with it; Naughty Dog has removed this constraint. Also, Plunder has been a five-on-five experience in the past; this is now changed to four vs. four. No doubt this may cause shortness of breath for fans of the mode, but worry not! Given the number of mechanics that have been introduced into Uncharted 4: A Thied’s End’s multiplayer gameplay, Plunder at four vs. four is perfect.
Naughty Dog still has much to share with their fans that have been waiting a long time to hear more about Uncharted 4’s multiplayer. The reveal of Plunder is just another piece. naughty Dog assures us that, what they will be revealing soon after PAX East will please a lot of people.
Uncharted 4: A Thied’s End will release on May 10th exclusive to Playstation 4.
