It seems Far Cry 5, the latest game in Ubisoft’s Far Cry series, could be released later this year, as the game appears on a GameStop release date list.
After the disappointment that Primal was in my humble opinion, I’m ready to know more about the next Far Cry!

SG Gaming Info was made aware of a potential upcoming Far Cry 5 release, via GameStop’s PlayStation 4 Software Upcoming Releases list. Far Cry 5 was listed for a November 26, 2017, release, which is likely a placeholder date as the 26th is a Sunday (new video games are primarily released on Friday’s in Ireland).

To see if the listing was accurate, SG Gaming Info contacted a local GameStop and quoted the SKU code that was attached to Far Cry 5. The GameStop employee who they talked to confirmed that the SKU code was attached to Far Cry 5 and that GameStop had the game down for a November 2017 release. In two separate emails to GameStop’s support department in which SGGI provided the game’s SKU code, they received the following reply to both emails

“Unfortunately we are out of stock of Far Cry 5 for the PS4 and can’t guarantee more stock will be made available again to us from the vendor”.

GameStop did not provide any additional information either over the phone or via email. We expect official announcements from Ubisoft at E3, but stay tuned to GameGeekz for more rumors and leaks as we approach June.
