Ancestors just released a new episode of “Experiences”, a brand new series of videos in which Creative Director Patrice Désilets explores the unique concepts of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey with various experts from outside the gaming industry.

In the new video titled “the climber” Patrice Désilets watches the training of the Canadian climber Alannah Yip, to see if motor skills and instincts match those of our ancestors in the game. Together they discuss how our ancestors and modern humans push themselves to their physical limits to constantly adapt and become stronger. Of course Alannah also plays the game and experiences the excitement of climbing, swinging and exploring Neogene Africa from 10 million years ago, giving her a whole new perspective on climbing. Watch the video here:

In the earlier episode, Patrice Désilets meets anthropologist and filmmaker Dr. Niobe Thompson and discuss how you could survive 10 million years ago in Neogene Africa, the grim world that players in Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey are being transferred to. Check out that episode and the release trailer as well!

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will release on PC August 27, 2019 via the Epic Games Store and in December 2019 digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
